from our visitors

To keep squirrels and raccoons from my bird feeders, I string a fishing line between two trees. The trees are about 15 feet apart and I hang the bird feeders from the string. I don't know if they can't see it or it's too thin to walk, but it's working so far. I'm sure it looks like free food just hanging in the air out of reach.

Far superiior to the water moats I have used in the past, and no chemicals. Just be really careful to make sure that the vaseline is FAR INSIDE the bell so the little wings don't get stuck. Enjoy my ant free feeder!

I have used these for years and they have kept the ants off of my nectar feeders. I intend to get a couple more to make sure that I have reserves. I recently bought a little Perky Pet unit but I intend on returning. It has noxious chemicals in it and I see no need when this bell works for me. I recommend trying the bell before anything more expensive or complicated.

This works!! You only need to put vasline on it once and it keeps ants off the entire season!!

It works ! It is the best ant guard out there. I use vaseline on it, but am careful to make sure it is towards the inside upper top half of the unit .. to make sure a hummingbird would not be able to come in contact with it. Again, it's the best!
